Ana Maria Espinosa Rodriguez

Ana Maria Espinosa Rodriguez

2000 Anna Maria Espinosa (Spain) 650 mm scale, 52 mm nut, spaced 42.5 mm between first and 6th at the nut.  Action at the 12th fret is 4.5mm on the bass side and 3.5mm on the treble side with plenty of bone saddle still projecting for adjustment lower.  Exquisitely crafted in the best of the modern Granada tradition, this guitar has a terrific balance between bass and treble, with no break at the third string, it is VERY even and clear, with excellent volume and projection.  Colorful and with great dynamic range, it is a very musical instrument capable of great expression and the price is really reasonable.  Anna Maria Espinosa Rodriguez continues a long but rarified tradition of women luthiers which extends back to the 19th century in Spain.  This is a thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying guitar which is very open and responsive.  German Spruce top, quarter sawn straight grain Indian rosewood sides and back, original french polish finish, near mint condition, only the tiniest of minor nail marks visible here and there on the top, no cracks, no repairs.  Tuning machines are gold plated deluxe Gotoh.  The french polish is thin and perfect in every detail and after 17 years of playing is still flawless without fading or other degradation.
